We always like to support local businesses, and our ski shop told us to go to Stand On Liquid to rent and buy our first paddleboard. Everyone was so patient and helpful to two complete newbies. My wife and I tried the 9'6", the 10'6", and the 11' boards. My wife grew up surfing and stood right up. She settled on the 10'6" board. I never saw a surfboard outside of the movies. I was able to stand right up on both the 10'6" and the 11' board, but just felt more stable on the 11' board. The board is stable, maneuverable, and fairly quick. Once I get completely comfortable, I know I'll love it even more. We were on the boards for almost 4 hours, and came back to the launch area tired and happy. Can't wait to go out again.
